AI-assisted first-pass ALTA/NSPS survey review, inside Autodesk Civil 3D.

Proofle gives your first-draft ALTA/NSPS land title survey a fast first-pass review against the 2026 ALTA/NSPS Minimum Standard Detail Requirements checklist, without leaving Civil 3D. It reads the drawing and the title commitment and returns a report that flags items worth a closer look.

Proofle is a first-pass review aid, not a replacement for a qualified reviewer. Every finding is a prompt for your professional judgment, not a final determination — you confirm, dismiss, or correct each one. Submitted documents are not retained, and your drawing is never modified.

1.Install & requirements

Install Proofle from the Autodesk Marketplace, then restart Civil 3D. You will also need:

Autodesk Civil 3D 2026 or 2027 (Windows 64-bit).
A free Proofle API key — create one at proofle.com/signup (entered once; see step 2).
Your draft survey saved as a PDF, and the title commitment as a PDF.
Your Table A scope (the optional items in contract for the job).

2.Get and enter your API key (one time)

Create a free key at proofle.com/signup — verify your email and your key is shown once. Then type PROOFLEKEY at the command line and paste it. The key is stored encrypted on your machine (current Windows user only), so you will not need to enter it again.

3.Run a review

Open your first-draft survey drawing in Civil 3D.
Export your draft to PDF. Type EXPORTPDF, or use your normal plot-to-PDF workflow, to save the current draft as a PDF. Proofle reviews this PDF, so make sure it reflects the draft you want reviewed.
Type PROOFLE.
When prompted, confirm the project number, project name, and Table A scope — or press Enter to accept the values read from the title block.
Select the survey PDF when prompted, then the title commitment PDF. At the supporting-documents prompt, attach the zoning report if you have one: the review then checks the zoning classification, setbacks and parking against it. Otherwise press Enter to skip.
Usually 1 to 5 minutes, then Proofle opens the report; large PDFs take longer.

4.Reading the report

The report lists each checklist item with a status: items flagged for your review, and items that passed or are not applicable. Each flagged finding includes a short, specific note so you can see exactly what was flagged and why. Work through them — confirm, dismiss, or correct the survey — using your own professional judgment. Findings are advisory and should be verified against the survey.

What the report is. Proofle is advisory software output. It is not a land survey, not a surveyor's certification, not an examination of title, and not legal advice. A finding marked PASS means only that Proofle did not flag the item — not that the item has been verified. The determination remains yours, and the survey you seal remains your professional work.
