How Proofle handles your documents
Proofle is a first-pass checklist tool for ALTA/NSPS surveys. It does not certify a survey and it does not replace the surveyor of record or reviewing counsel. This page says what happens to the documents you submit, in plain terms, for the person at a firm who has to answer "is this safe to use" before anyone uploads a client file.
Encryption in transit
Documents are transmitted over TLS.
Transient processing
We process a survey package to produce the review you requested and then discard the documents. We do not keep the PDFs.
No training
Customer documents are never used to train or improve any model.
What we keep
Operational metadata only: timestamps, review counts, project identifiers you type, billing records, and the record that you accepted the terms. Account email, if you create an account.
No certification claimed
A PASS is not a verification. The final review is yours.
Subprocessors
Card billing is processed by Stripe. Hosting and other processors are named in the Data Processing Addendum, available on request. We do not list processing mechanisms on this page.
Breach notice
If we discover a breach of personal information we process for a customer, we will notify that customer without undue delay and no later than 72 hours after becoming aware of it.
